President Official
It shall be the duty of the President to preside at all meetings of the Association. He shall appoint all committees, unless otherwise directed by the  Association, and perform such other duties as usually devolve upon a presiding officer or are required of him by the Association.

Actual
In theory,
the President is all powerful. He can appoint the committee chairman who each sit on the executive committee and thus pack the executive committee with a dozen new committee heads.  In reality, the President in recent years also did most of the work himself.

We intend to change things and move most of the work to the committees where it belongs.  We intend to lighten the work of the executive committee that is supposed to make decisions between monthly meetings. We will do this by  surveying and polling the members so that the executive committee will be able to reflect the interests of the members more accurately .
